I was out doorknocking in the Lake Braddock precinct of Fairfax County today, when I knocked on one house.

I’ve been meaning to write about this one. Sorry. I wasn’t going to reinvent the wheel, after Lowell had posted a thorough writeup, but I received an email saying that some coverage was expected out of me. Oops.
Anyway, it was very impressive to me how Lt. Governor Kaine took some time out for us bloggers [...]

The Miami Herald published this photo on the front page on Thursday. Lying in a pool of his own blood, pistol clattering across the floor and spectacles lying in the foreground, suspended Miami commissioner Art Teele committed suicide in the lobby of the Miami Herald. Some in Miami say that Teele was tipped to suicide [...]

Reader Tim Fullerton tips us off over email to an article in the Times Dispatch detailing yet another instance of conservative hatred.

Coming out on the heels of the NRDC’s “Testing the Waters” report on America’s beach water quality (not too terribly pleasant reading, by the way) is this Daily Press article noting that both of Virginia’s senators voted for a survey of offshore oil and gas–a possible precursor to oil wells off of Virginia Beach. Earlier [...]

…or skin you alive.
Up a little on 395, across the 14th Street Bridge and on toward the Capitol, The Hill thinks there are hotties, having taken it upon themselves to publish their second annual list of “The 50 Most Beautiful” people on Capitol Hill. DC Pussycat notes drolly it’s nothing to drool about. Oh, and [...]

Note to West Springfield High School: Don’t get any ideas.

Finally got a chance to write about Monday night’s Asian-American dinner for Tim Kaine at the China Garden Restaurant on Wilson Boulevard, which I was at thanks to the help of FCDC Diversity Chair Rose Chu. I popped out of the Rosslyn metro, ran up and down Wilson Boulevard in the blazing heat, and then [...]
