A clip of Jim Webb I captured telling a crowd yesterday about the Real Virginia–something he knows more about than George Allen.

What in the flaming hell. This guy wrote an entire book on his native Southwest Virginia, and the incumbent is admonishing him for being INSIDE THE BELTWAY. George Allen may have ran the last two elections as a challenger, but now that he’s an incumbent, he can’t pull this “inside the beltway” nonsense. He is a complicit cog in the machinery of the establishment, a rubberstamp of the Bush Admninistration.

In a move even stupider than Virgil Goode saying he took only $46,000 in illegal contributions, George Allen’s new excuse is that what he really meant was not a racial slur. He really meant to call someone “shithead.”

I don’t buy it for a minute. I wish I could, because it is so farcical, but I don’t buy it. It’d be funny if George Allen is that stupid, but he isn’t. Stupid or racist.

I choose racist.

Where is George Allen’s “Real Virginia”? What is George Allen’s “America”?
