NoVa Democrat takes on my delegate, Dave Marsden, by highlighting key votes that Marsden made on some bills. I disagree with NoVa Democrat’s assessment.
1) He introduced HB 1460 which would make local cops immigration officials (I am proud that ALL of Arlington’s delegates had the courage to vote against it).
2) His vote for HB 487 [...]

E-Day. This Tuesday.
Ready, are we?
Vote.
The Democrats stand a good chance of a pickup in a few of Northern Virginia’s districts:
13th District
Incumbent: Bob Marshall (R)
Democrat: Bruce Roemmelt
32nd District
Incumbent: Dick Black (R)
Democrat: David Poisson (D)
Dick Black and Bob Marshall have to be twins of some sort. I will tackle them together.
This is the starkest contrast in the [...]

My brain has been nonfunctional lately. I should be doing my biology homework and such. Noticing the short blog bursts?
Today’s tidbit:
What’s a metal detector for? While the General Assembly building lays under renovation, I will give you a couple vital details about the tours they would be giving:
Phones
Public telephones are located in the General Assembly [...]

I was out doorknocking in the Lake Braddock precinct of Fairfax County today, when I knocked on one house.
Immediately I heard thumping, running footsteps to the door, where I heard a toddler scream…
“MOMMY!! MOMMY!! THE CHINESE GUY IS HERE!! THE CHINESE GUY IS HERE!!”
My mind was reeling about what that meant…a family of Chinese-haters? What?
“THE [...]

I’ll look over a couple of districts from the July 15 fundraising reports:
13th District: Sideshow Bob Marshall didn’t get a single person to contribute to him this quarter, just 4 PAC’s totaling $1,500. First came the bankers on June 3, then came the coal PAC on June 10, then came the tobacco PAC on June [...]

Okay, so we at the Democracy for Virginia campaign training aren’t rabid partisans, but we’re pretty darn well unapologetic. Five of our House of Delegates candidates came in to speak and fend off questions from the crowd in a candidate forum, which I will discuss later. But first…earlier in the day, a Survivor-esque competition was [...]
